Role purpose
Provide proactive, practical HR support across the London region, partnering with managers to deliver business priorities and create a positive, consistent employee experience. Take ownership of regional HR and recruitment activity, ensuring people matters are managed fairly and effectively.
Key responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with regional leaders, managers and colleagues, acting as the main HR contact across both sites.
- Advise and coach managers on employee relations, including absence, performance, disciplinary and grievance matters.
- Manage recruitment and onboarding, supporting workforce planning and operational staffing requirements.
- Support organisational change, consultation and the integration of acquired businesses.
- Embed consistent HR policies and processes, including probation reviews, performance management and employee development.
- Improve employee engagement, wellbeing and retention through practical local initiatives.
- Maintain accurate HR records and use people data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Work with payroll and the wider HR team to ensure employee changes are processed accurately and on time.
Experience and approach
An experienced HR professional with strong employee relations knowledge and a practical understanding of UK employment law. Confident supporting managers in a busy, multi-site operational environment, with the ability to build trust, challenge constructively and balance employee needs with business priorities. CIPD Level 5 qualification, or equivalent experience, is desirable.
